The Team America 95 Stripes boys soccer team claimed the U13 Boys 2009 Virginia State Cup Championship with a 1-2 victory over the CSL United Junkyard Dawgs on Sunday, May 31st at the Warhill Soccer Complex in Williamsburg, Virginia.
The State Cup Tournament was played over 5 weeks across Virginia and consisted of 40 U-13 boys teams. TAFC95 outscored their opponents 19-6.
The TAFC95 will represent the state of Virginia in the Region I Regional Championship Tournament, July 2-7, 2009. The Region I Championships will be held in Huntington, West Virginia. The Region I winners go on to play the US Youth Soccer National Championships to be held in July of 2009 in Massachusetts.
