About Team America FC

Our Mission

Our mission is to help children GROW, LEARN AND HAVE FUN while they learn how to develop motor skills, self-confidence, tactical understanding, vision, technical skills, self-esteem, character, integrity and a problem-solving attitude.

The Player

TAFC believes that each and every player grows at their own pace, and their ability to improve and learn is directly related to the inspiration, education, environment and guidance they are provided.

With the right inspiration each individual will add their personal motivation to develop as best they can at their own pace. Within the TAFC program each player will have the opportunity to grow, learn and have fun as measured only against themselves.

At TAFC we understand every player is made up of three (3) equally important parts:
  • Intellectual
  • emotional
  • athletic
Between the ages of 6 and 18 years of age, a player can change in any of three areas significantly from season to season, in some cases even game to game.  It is the goal of TAFC to take any player that has an interest in, or passion for, the game and no matter the intellectual, emotional, or athletic level and give them the best opportunity possible to succeed at the Beautiful Game.

The intellectual player can see the field and opponents and responds to thier shifts, changes,  and demands.  The intellectual understanding of the game only comes with time, time watching the game, and time playing the game.  Typically, the intellectual components of the game start to take hold with a player around the age of 13-14 years of age.
It is the rare player that can "see the field"

The emotional player, as with any growing and maturing child/teenager, develops at thier own rate.  So players start out reserved and hesitant, in time they may become argumentative and disruptive, then may evolve and become aggressive and demanding. The TAFC goal is help each player to become even, confident, and >>>>

Non-Profit Oraganization

Team America Football Club is a non-profit orgnization, formally known as LRSC, Inc. It is volunteer-based youth sports 501(c)(3) organization whose focus is solely on the game of soccer.  It is our mission to provide young people with an opportunity to play soccer in a safe, fun atmosphere.

The club is made up Recreational and Travel Divisions.  The Corporate President and the Presidents of these two divisions, along with six other elected board members oversee the direction of the club.

LRSC, Inc., is a 501(c)(3) non-profit Corporation.  Persons or organizations wishing to make a tax-deductible donation to the club can contact us at the address below.  Donations are used for field improvements/maintenance and “scholarships” for underpriveleged youth.  We welcome any suggestions donors may have to improve the quality of our programs.

At Team America, we certainly realize we do not have all the answers, but we hope to do our very best to be responsive and adaptable to the needs of all the participants. Like the game of soccer, we know that there is nothing permanent but change, and we plan to be ready to meet the challenges of changes that all children go through as they grow in knowledge, stature and age.
