The TAFC program is a player-centric philosophy, focused solely on giving your player the tools on which future success will be built. The only requirement we have for our players is they love to play the game and be enthusiastic enough to learn the skills necessary to play the game with magic and control.
Through to the age of 12, the complete focus of the Team America Development Program is to develop boys and girls confidence and creativity handling a soccer ball. TAFC teams, coaches and administrators are not concerned with the score, but are solely focused on developing your child’s enjoyment of soccer, while learning the basic skills and discipline needed to succeed as they grow older.
Until a player reaches the Under-12 age group, TAFC will focus almost exclusively on players bringing the ball under control and having fun from that point forward. Whether the player chooses to dribble, shoot or pass, once they have control, the decision is entirely theirs, and they will be applauded no matter the outcome. It is for this reason that TAFC conducts the majority of training indoors.
The indoor play training will give the maximum number of touches without lost time chasing balls and losing valuable time to inclement weather. The controlled environment of indoor activities forces players to make quicker decisions and develop quicker foot skills.
